MAAA Large, Small School Regular Season Champions to Battle in Crosstown Rivalry

(STE. GENEVIEVE) The 15-4 Valle Catholic Warriors were scheduled to host their crosstown rivals the 12-5 Ste. Genevieve Dragons Thursday at 4:30, but because of the rain the game has been moved to Yanks Field, the home of the Dragons, who have a turf infield. Valle has won 8 of their last 9 on their way to being named the MAAA Small School Conference Regular Season Champions. Head coach of the Warriors Nathan Gegg thinks his team keeps improving.

The Ste. Genevieve Dragon will share the MAAA Regular Season Large School Championship after tying the Central Rebels and North County Raiders. Dragons head coach Mike McDaniel knows they need to play better with a tough schedule to end the year.

The Dragons now host the Warriors with bragging rights on the line. The MAAA Tournament tune up is set for a 4:15 pregame show and a 4:30 first pitch on AM 800 KREI.
