Major Case Squad Called To Investigate Disappearance of Washington County Woman
(Shirley) The major case squad of the Mineral Area was activated Tuesday, looking into the disappearance of a Washington County woman.
A news release from the case squad says 44-year-old Donna Janine Eye, who lives near the community of Shirley, was last seen late at night on January 8th near Shirley School Road, south of Highway 8.
Fox 2 News says reports on Facebook have been confirmed, that Eye had been at the hospital in Potosi when a sheriff’s deputy received a call to take Eye to her home at about 11 p.m on the 8th.
Fox 2 also talked to Eye’s brother and he claims he was told by officials that his sister was dropped off on another gravel road that was not the Eye’s driveway.
Eye’s family say they found Donna’s bag containing clothes and some makeup on a road about a mile from the Eye’s driveway.
Family members are worried.
They say Eye is incapable of making her own decisions.
