(FESTUS)    March is “Myeloma Awareness Month”, a time to build attention that multiple myeloma is a blood cancer that can affect adults. Medical experts say men tend to have a higher risk of diagnosis than women. In a recent interview on KJFF, Dr. Lee Greenberger, Chief Scientific Officer at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society said myeloma can be detected in a several ways.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has committed $45 million to fund multi-year myeloma research. The society offers free information, education and support for myeloma patients, survivors and caregivers at lls.org.
