Missouri Demolishes Illinois in First Month Recreational Marijuana Sales

(Farmington) The first month of recreational marijuana sales in Missouri raked in record number.

From February 3rd through the 28th, roughly 102.9 million dollars’ worth of cannabis was sold in Missouri.

Recreational sales account for nearly 72-million dollars, while medical marijuana sales brought in just over 31 million last month.

The Missouri Cannabis Trade Association says by comparison, the first month of recreational pot sales in Illinois, in January of 2020, saw only 39.2 million dollars in sales.

And that is despite Illinois having more than twice the population of Missouri.
