Missouri Highways Are Good

(Jefferson City) Missouri Department of Transportation officials are pleased with the results of a study by the Reason Foundation that says the state has the second best highway system in the nation in terms of cost-effectiveness and condition. Brian Okenfuss is an engineer with MODOT. He says they worked hard to achieve that ranking.

Only North Dakota ranks higher than Missouri. The Show-Me State needs to work on it’s structurally deficient bridges. It ranks 33rd in the nation in terms of having the most deficient bridges.
