Missouri Senator Roy Blunt Spoke at Presidential Inauguration

(Washington DC) Joe Biden was sworn into office today as America’s 46th president. Kamala Harris took the oath as America’s first female, first African American and first Asian American to serve as Vice President. Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt served as the chairman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Blunt says the inauguration’s theme is “Our Determined Democracy: Forging a More Perfect Union”.

For the second consecutive time, Senator Blunt served as chair of this committee. Blunt says the ceremony is not a moment of division, but instead a moment of unity.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and Missouri U.S. Senator Josh Hawley also attended today’s inauguration ceremony which was broadcast on Regional Radio.
