(Columbia, Mo.) The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team earned the victory at home tonight over Morehead State by a final score of 70-52.

Junior guard Mark Smith led the team in scoring with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting, 3-of-5 from beyond the arc in addition to eight rebounds.

The Tigers’ strength on the night was their ability to execute from the free throw line, as they shot 20-of-23 from the charity stripe, good for 87%.

Despite the win, Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin wasn’t satisfied with his team’s output particularly early in the game…

With the win the Tigers improve to 4-1 on the young campaign and will have some time off before they match up with the Butler Bulldogs at the Sprint Center in Kansas City Monday night for the Hall of Fame Classic on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
