Mortar shell disposed of in Arnold

(Arnold) Members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with the Rock Community Fire Protection District were called to the 3600 block of Elm Garden Apartments in Arnold on Saturday, February 19th. The reason, a World War I Scoville mortar was found at a residence. Captain Andy Sides with the Sheriff’s Office says the shell was still live after it was looked over.
The shell was disposed of without incident and no injuries.
