New Event Coming to the Reynolds County Fair in Redford

(Redford) There’s going to be a shootout Saturday afternoon, September 30th in Redford.

It’s one of the new events that will be a part of the Reynolds County Fair which runs Thursday the 28th through Saturday the 30th at the fairgrounds.

Mike Branstetter will be the announcer for this cowboy mounted shooting event.

He says they have never done this before in Reynolds County.

And if this sounds like an event you might want to become involved with in the future, Branstetter says make sure you don’t get a gun-shy horse.

Thursday evening the 28th, admission is free with the carnival rides opening.

Admission to the Reynolds County Fair is 5-dollars that Friday evening with live music, carnival rides, mule jumping and the jackpot bull ride.

Saturday’s admission is 10-dollars for adults, five for kids 5 to 12 and pre-schoolers and younger get in for free.

The final days’ events will include a parade, cutest cowboy and cowgirl contest, live gospel music, a coon dog treeing contest, old fashion games, the crowning of Miss Reynolds County, the shootout, bull riding and more.
