New homes continue to increase in Jefferson County

(Hillsboro) The population of Jefferson County may not have seen a dramatic increase according to the 2020 Census, but it has been growing. Jefferson County Assessor Bob Boyer says the number of new homes in the county continues to rise over the past few years.
Boyer says there is also an increase in renovations on existing homes as well.
The majority of the population increase continues to be along the I-55 corridor from Arnold to the south of Festus.
