New Years Eve precautions

(Hillsboro) Law enforcement agencies have the potential to be busy tonight (Thursday) with it being New Year’s Eve. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says combining the holiday with the potential for harsh weather conditions could compound the situation.

Sheriff Marshak says the ongoing pandemic may result in smaller gatherings, which could make things better in terms of calls for any problems.

The fact that bars and restaurants are not open in St. Louis County, and other areas not allowing bars and restaurants to be open past 11 PM could also account for fewer vehicles on the roads tonight (Thursday).
