Opioid Use Disorder Awareness Walk in Potosi Saturday

(Potosi) 35 people in Washington County have died due to drug overdose since 2015 and The Meramec Regional Planning Commission wants to bring light to the issue of substance use disorder There will be an awareness walk in Potosi this Saturday. Christa Harmon is with the M.R.P.C. and founder of the Mid-MO Addiction Awareness Group. She tells us why she founded MAAG.
Harmon says the reason for the walk in Potosi is to stop the stigma around substance use disorder.
Participants will meet at the Town Square Parking Lot in Potosi and then travel on East High Street and go to East End Laundry. It is requested that pets stay at home while masks and social distancing are encouraged. For more information call Christa Harmon at 265-2993.
