(Fenton, Mo.) A man from Overland was taken to St. Clare Hospital in Fenton after being involved in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place eastbound on Highway 30, at Northwest Boulevard, when a Chevrolet Malibu driven by 23-year-old Rebecca Williams of House Springs attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 30 from Northwest Boulevard while a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 24-year-old Joshua Willis of Overland failed to stop at a steady red light.

That caused the Grand Cherokee to strike the front of the Malibu.

Willis left the scene of the accident and was located in a parking lot.

He sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
