Pandemic Livestock Indemnity Program (PLIP) Offers Assistance For Lost Livestock Or Poultry

(Farmington) Livestock and poultry producers who suffered losses during the pandemic due to insufficient access to processing can apply for assistance for those losses and the cost of depopulation and disposal of the animals. Joseph Stillman is with the Farm Service Agency in Farmington. He says if you lost any livestock or poultry from March 1st, 2020 through December 26, 2020 you are eligible to apply.
Stillman says the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program is also open. For more information on CFAP or applying for the Pandemic Livestock Indemnity Program you can email Stillman at [email protected] or call 573-756-6488 EXT. two. Applications must be submitted by September 17th of this year.
