Perryville Defeats Grandview, 48-14, In Thursday Night Football Game On J98

(Perry County) The Perryville Pirates (3-2) took care of business against Grandview (2-3) Thursday night, winning the Thursday night football matchup 48-14. We broadcasted the game on J-98 The Boot. Perryville received the opening kickoff and ended their drive with a 37 yard touchdown pass from senior Rilaynd Graham to senior tight end Dominic Seiler.

The Pirates forced the Eagles to punt, and they capitalized with another passing touchdown. This time, Graham found junior receiver Chase Richardet.

On the first play from Grandview’s next drive, sophomore Kayd Luckey intercepted the pass and took it to the crib.

Grandview wasn’t out of it, though. Sophomore quarterback Brendan Martin connected with senior Caleb Medling for an 84 yard gain that setup the Eagles at the Perryville one yard line. Martin finished the job at the start of the second quarter.

On the ensuing kickoff, Richardet gave us the Steak N’ Shake Festus Play of the Game.

Richardet capped off his magnificent first half with one more touchdown from his senior quarterback.

Richardet caught six passes for over 200 yards and two scores to go with the kickoff return for a touchdown. He was the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.
Grandview started the second half with the ball and went 80 yards to keep themselves in the game.

Medling caught four passes for 112 yards and that score. Senior Nash Moore ran for 158 yards on 23 carries for Grandview.
Perryville kept riding up the score in the second half on a trick play that put sophomore Drew Leuckel in the endzone.

One final score from the Pirates came in the fourth quarter. Junior Brett Bohnert ran in his first touchdown of the season.

Graham threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns for Perryville. Richardet joined the Home Pools and Spas Endzone Show to tell us how proud of his quarterback he is.

Perryville improves to 3-2 and will host undefeated Jefferson for their homecoming game on Saturday, September 30th. We will broadcast that game on J-98.
Grandview drops their third straight game to 2-3. The Eagles host Herculaneum next Friday.
