Cuba Girls Basketball Defeats Perryville in West County Christmas Tournament Final

The Perryville Lady Pirates put up a valiant effort in the West County Tournament Final, but came up short to the Cuba Lady Wildcats by a final score of 48-31.

The two seed Cuba Lady Wildcats defeated the seven seed DeSoto Lady Dragons 70-42, the three seed Jefferson Lady Blue Jays 59-36, and the seven seed Perryville Lady Pirates to win the West County Tournament. Perryville got to the final by beating the 12 seed Crystal City Lady Hornets 61-18, the four seed Valle Catholic Lady Warriors 51-46, and the one seed Hillsboro Lady Hawks 41-37 before coming up short to the Cuba Lady Wildcats.

Cuba’s next opponent is the New Haven Lady Shamrocks Thursday night. Perryville will look get back on track by facing the DeSoto Lady Dragons on Thursday night as well. Both tipoffs are set for 7 pm.
