Perryville’s Daugherty to Play at Culver-Stockton

(Perryville) Perryville Pirates senior quarterback, Evan Daugherty recently signed to play college football at Culver-Stocken College. Daugherty plans to play quarterback at the next level, but he knows making the jump from high school to college takes hard work. He says he is ready to put in the work to get a chance to play anywhere on the field.

The recruiting process is different for everyone and finding the right school that fits can be difficult. Daugherty visited Culver-Stockton over the Christmas holiday and knew that it was the place for him.

The senior said he was more of a basketball guy going into high school but credits his love for football to his head coach.

Daugherty said he will get the playbook soon to begin studying and he is unsure of when he will report to campus because of the virus. Culver-Stockton finished 6-5 last winning its last four games.
