Plans in the works for Highway 61/67 improvements
(Crystal City) Earlier this week, representatives with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) met with members of Crystal City, business owners, state legislators, and others to take a close look at the improvements needed along Highway 61-67. Crystal City City Administrator Jason Eisenbeis says the meeting went well, and everyone got a first-hand look at the issues on that roadway.
Eisenbeis says traffic safety is a huge concern along that stretch of roadway.
The plans will be to both widen the roadway, and add a center turn lane from Brandon Wallace Way to 6th/8th Street in Crystal City. Construction work is scheduled to begin in March of 2023, and ending in the fall of 2023. You can view the project news by going to MODOT dot org.
