(FREDERICKTOWN, Mo.) – The Potosi Trojans baseball team goes on the road Thursday to face the Fredericktown Blackats in an MAAA matchup that can be heard on AM 800 KREI. Potosi is 2-4 on the year and will be playing their first conference game of the season. The Trojans actually won Class 4, District 2 last year, but lost quite a few starters from 2018.

Given that fact, head coach Steve McCoy says the slow start is not the end of the world.

On the side of Fredericktown, the Blackcats got off to a 5-0 start to the year. They’ve dropped their last two against tough opponents in Cape Notre Dame and North County and find their record at 5-2 and 0-1 in conference.
Head coach Scott Davis says he likes what he’s seen from his team through the first seven games, even the losses.

First pitch between Fredericktown and Potosi will be at 4:30 Thursday with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 4:15 on AM 800 KREI.
