Poultry is King for Super Bowl Dining

(Farmington) 1-point-4 billion chicken wings were predicted to be scarfed down Sunday during the Super Bowl which was broadcast on Regional Radio.

Those projections from the National Chicken Council.

That’s about four wings per American.

Chicken council spokesman Tom Super says that would be a record if the predictions hold, but more importantly for consumers, he says you continue to see lower prices for poultry.

Super says chicken farmers have kept up with demand, even amid the Avian Fu outbreak.

Even with nearly 1.5 billion wings probably gobbled up on Sunday, chicken wings has some strong Super Bowl food competition in the mighty pizza.
