Public Invited to Check Out Ham Radio Field Day Coming to Farmington

(Farmington) Every June, more than 40-thousand ham radio operators throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and their service to our communities and country.

It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach and technical skills all in a single event.

That is the Ham Radio Field Day, a 24-hour event, scheduled for Saturday, June 25th and Sunday the 26th.

The East Ozarks Amateur Radio Club will participate at Engler Park in Farmington.

Matthew Clubb is a member of the local organization.

He wants the public to stop by the park and check them out.

But that’s not all ham radio operators do, plus, Clubb says it’s highly interesting.

The public is encouraged to attend Ham Radio Field Day at Engler Park in Farmington.

It starts at noon on Saturday the 25th and will continue until Sunday the 26th at noon.

Ham Radio Field Day has been an annual event since 1933.
