Rep. Reuter on House Bill 825 school board filings

(Jefferson City) State Representative Renee Reuter is Imperial introduced House Bill 825 in the Missouri Legislature a few months ago. She says this bill would allow those filing for school board races to be able to go to their elections authority office to file as a candidate as opposed to going to the school districts.

Reuter says there was a case recently, in which someone attempted to file for a school board race, but could not because the school district was closed.

House Bill 825 was read a second time but has yet to be scheduled for a committee hearing.
