Richwoods Man Killed, Park Hills Woman Injured in Auto Accident in Franklin County

(St. Louis, Mo.) A man from Richwoods was killed and a woman from Park Hills was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis after being involved in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Franklin County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Project Road, west of Fairview Church Road, when a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 39-year-old Robert Drennen of Richwoods was traveling westbound, crossed the center line and sideswiped a Volkswagen Beetle driven by 36-year-old Alicia Pickel of Park Hills traveling eastbound.
The Blazer then traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, returned to the roadway and began to skid before overturning multiple times and coming to rest on its wheels on the left side of the roadway.
Drennen was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene by St. Clair Ambulance Personnel.
Pickel sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
