Salem Man Injured in Hospital Parking Lot Accident

A 69-year-old Salem man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident yesterday (Tuesday) evening. The State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred in the Salem Memorial Hospital Parking Lot when Robert Wood lost consciousness at the wheel due to a medical emergency. The front of his 1999 Jeep Wrangler struck the west side of the hospital building. Wood walked into Salem Memorial Hospital following the accident, but the medical emergency was not specified.
