Seckman Golfer Claire Solovic Seeking State Title in Senior Year

(IMPERIAL) Seckman Jaguar golfer Claire Solovic begins her quest for an outright state championship with the Class 2 District 1 Tournament teeing off on Wednesday.

She is a senior who finished tied for 1st at state her freshman year and has finished 3rd at state the last two years. Claire just won her 2nd Suburban Conference Championship last week at Crescent Farms by shooting a 71, closing out the championship with birdies on her last two holes.

Seckman girls golf head coach Brad Hagedorn says its impressive the consistency Claire has shown her entire high school career.

The Class 2 District 1 Tournament is being played at The Links at Dardenne in O’Fallon. Coach Hagedorn responded to the thought of Claire being a sure thing to advance to Sectionals.
