Sheriff Marshak wants to make changes to Zone offices and crime lab

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is already mapping out some of the projects they want to tackle over the next few years. One of those is making adjustments to their three Zone offices. Sheriff Dave Marshak says they are very convenient to have but are dated and additional space is needed.

Sheriff Marshak already sent a letter to Jefferson College and the County Council for his plans to move the South Zone to a new location. It’s possible they may move the North and East Zone locations as well.

Sheriff Marshak says a better functioning crime lab is another thing he wants to change.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol still handles many crime lab requests but are overwhelmed with the overall numbers and needs.
