Sign Up Starts Next Week for those Planning to Run for Park Hills City Council Spots

(Park Hills) The Park Hills City Council was to appoint a person to fill a vacant council seat at their meeting Tuesday night but a technical issue stopped that from happening.

City Administrator Mark McFarland explains what you need to do if you would like to fill that position through the first week of April of 2021.

McFarland says in just a few days, Park Hills residents can sign up to run for councilperson positions in all wards.

In other news from this week’s Park Hills City Council meeting, Dennis Gordon, Jeanie Lewis and Stella King were reappointed to the Flat River Senior Citizens Aid Association.

McFarland was appointed to represent Park Hills in the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission and Dwayne McCasliter, Bob Gehrig and Cindy Penberthy were reappointed to the Board of Adjustment.

Also, holiday decorating judging of Park Hills’ houses and businesses will take place next week and McFarland says Columbia Park looks the best he’s ever seen it as far as being decorated with Christmas lights.

He says you can drive through any night during the holidays.
