Sophomore Ruger Govero Earns Second Golf Dream Team Nod

(Bonne Terre) Ruger Govero is only a sophomore but he’s already been voted onto the Golf Dream Team twice. The standout from North County High School finished T-12th at the state tournament this year, good enough for all-state honors. Govero tells us how he learned about making the Dream Team again.
His teammate, recent grad Will Dugal, was voted as the Dream Team Golfer of Year. Govero says he’s learned a lot from Dugal.
Govero shot back-to-back 75’s at the Class Four state tournament in Sedalia to finish 10 over par and 10 shots back of the state champion.
Govero says his best shot of the season was an albatross on a par five.
Govero wanted to give thanks to some folks.
Govero averaged 37.7 strokes per nine holes this season.
