Another Bonne Terre officer, Lane Burns, was shot and killed after the two of them responded to a call early Thursday morning at the Motel 6 in Bonne Terre. 31 year of James Emory burst out of his hotel room and starting firing at the officers. Emory also died in the gun battle.
