St. Pius 2nd, Perryville 4th in Girls State Soccer

(Fenton) The St. Pius girls soccer team fell to Whitfield 3-0 in the class one state championship game Saturday. The Lancers beat Greenwood 3-1 Friday in the semifinal and finish the season at 15-7-1 and the state runner up. Meanwhile, in class 2, Perryville lost in the 3rd place game 2-0 to Pleasant Hill after the Pirates were shutout 4-nil against Orchard Farm in the semis. The 19-4-1 Pirates finish in 4th place in class 2.
