St. Pius High School Virtual Online Gala Marked as Big Success

(Festus) St. Pius High School was the first to hold a black tie gala in the area in 1984 and 36 years later, they were the first to hold a Virtual Gala Auction in Jefferson County.

The gala, which is in its 37th year, was suppose to take place on April 4; however, due to coronavirus concerns, the auction was changed to be strictly online.

Melissa Hartmann is the Director of Events at St. Pius. She said the online auction went off without a hitch.

We asked Hartmann what was some of the feedback from the online auction format.

Again, so far the Virtual Gala has raised around $82,000 with donations still coming in for the continued support of St. Pius High School.
