ST. VINCENT SOCCER READY FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

An 1-0 shut out win Wednesday over Principia has the St. Vincent Soccer team one win away from the Class 1 State Championship.
The Lady Indians will compete for the state crown due to what head coach Caitlin Pistorio describes as the team’s no quit mentality.
Pistorio’s squad has shut out every opponent since an April 25th game against Jackson, and the coach says the mantra, defense wins championships, is true for the Lady Indians.
The Lady Indians will face Summit Christian Academy Thursda) at 4 p.m. from the Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City. Pistorio says she knows it’s going to be a tough match up.
