St. Vincent stays hot with shutout homecoming win over Grandview on KJFF

(Perryville) The St. Vincent Indians continued a stellar offensive season with a 49-0 homecoming win over the Grandview Eagles Friday on KJFF.

St. Vincent chose to take the ball after winning the coin toss, and they wasted little time jumping in front.

Indians senior quarterback John Wibbenmeyer had plenty of chances to throw the deep ball, and he hit one with a 7-0 lead.

Wibbenmeyer would throw a second touchdown to Phillip Ernst in the second quarter.

The Indians would lead 28-0 at halftime after a touchdown run by Jett Reitzel.

The Indians would rush for over 113 yards on their way to their fifth straight victory.

Wibbenmeyer finished with 317 yards passing and 3 TDs on his way to being named Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game.

But St. Vincent head coach Tim Schumer was impressed with his defense’s effort.

While Grandview falls to 4-3 and will host Chaffee next week, St. Vincent puts its 5-1 record on the line against Jefferson in Week 9.
