Ste. Gen County Commissioner on Tornado that Tore through Coffman & St. Mary

(Ste. Genevieve County) A twister that struck Ste. Genevieve County Sunday night is still being mapped out this week by the National Weather Service.

Garry Nelson is the presiding commissioner of Ste. Gen County.

He says they did lose a few homes because the twister.

The first was near Coffman.

Nelson describes how the tornado went through St. Mary.

And Nelson doesn’t know if they will be able to restore the building the St. Mary’s Antique Mall was located in.

The National Weather Service has mapped out the the hardest hit areas from the Ste. Gen tornado like Coffman and St. Mary.

The rest of the storm will be mapped later this week.
