Ste. Gen falls to Cape Notre Dame in Class 4 District 1 title game

The Ste. Genevieve Dragons lost the Class 4 District 1 Championship game Thursday to Cape Notre Dame 52-32.
The Lady Dragons took the lead early in the game on a break away layup.
But the Bulldogs poured it on after that, leading by 17 at the half.
Lexi Rubel led Cape Notre Dame, scoring 14 points, while Maci Reynolds led the scoring for Ste. Genevieve with 17 points.
The Lady Dragons finish their season at 25-2.
Cape Notre Dame improves to 22-4 and will take on the Central Rebels in the sectional round of the state tournament Tuesday night at 6 at the Farmington Civic Center.
