(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – Due to the rainy conditions expected for Saturday, the championship and third places games in the MAAA conference baseball tournament will now take place Friday. The North County Raiders and Ste. Genevieve Dragons will battle for the tournament title in what will be their third head-to-head matchup this season. Ste. Genevieve is now 17-4 after an 8-3 win over the Farmington Knights in the semifinals. Dragons coach Mike McDaniel said his players have played strong defense recently.

Meanwhile, North County sits at 13-6-1 following a 7-3 victory over the West County Bulldogs on Wednesday. Raiders coach Chris McLain said it’ll be tough the third time around against the Dragons.

After the championship, West County and Farmington will clash in the third place game.
