Ste. Genevieve’s Gegg Receives First Athlete Of The Week Award Of Fall 2019

(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – It was a successful first week of football for Logan Gegg and the Ste. Genevieve Dragons. The senior quarterback earned Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play It Forward” Athlete of the Week honors after the Dragons’ 49-7 road win against Dexter last Friday. Gegg said earning a blowout win against the same team that beat them in triple-overtime in the playoffs last year was relieving.
Gegg took over as the starting quarterback after sharing the position with Chad Donze last season. He said his offseason preparation has helped him get acclimated to being a full-time starter.
As the Athlete of the Week, Gegg gets to pick a local charity to receive a $25 donation from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy. Gegg chose to give the money to Aly’s Art Drive, an organization that gives art supplies to kids that receive treatment at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
