(Cuba) Following the federal disaster declaration for multiple bouts of damaging severe weather that impacted Missouri from July 29th through August 14th, the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency will conduct applicant briefings Tuesday, October 3rd and Wednesday the 4th for local governments and nonprofit agencies applying for assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
SEMA strongly encourages all eligible agencies in the 33 declared counties that plan to apply for assistance to attend one of the briefings which explain program changes, eligibility information, the federal reimbursement process, documentation requirements and other essential program information.
Local counties included in the declaration are Bollinger, Crawford, Iron, Madison, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Wayne counties.
The two closes applicant briefing locations are the Sikeston Department of Public Safety on South Kingshighway on Tuesday from 9 until 1.
Also on Wednesday the 4th from 9 until 1, an applicant briefing will be held in Crawford County at Recklein Auditorium in Cuba on North Smith Street.
