Third Place and Championship Games from Black River League Tournament Get Underway Today on J98

(Piedmont, Mo.) The final day of the Black River League Tournament gets underway this afternoon on J98 as the third place and championship games for both the boys and the girls will be played at Clearwater High School in Piedmont.

The girls’ third place game will be the first matchup of the day between #3 East Carter and #4 Lesterville and coverage of that game will begin at 12:15.

The boys’ third place game will follow and will see #3 Lesterville taking on #4 Clearwater. That game is tentatively scheduled to begin around two o’clock.

There will be a brief break in the action following the conclusion of the third place games before the championships take place.

The first championship game that will be played will be on the girls’ side and will feature two of the top teams in the state as #1 South Iron battles #2 Ellington. Coverage of that game will begin at 4:45.

Then the final game of the evening will be the boys’ championship as #1 South Iron squares off with #2 East Carter. Coverage of that game will begin following the conclusion of the girls’ championship and is tentatively slated for 6:30.
