Three Injured in Jefferson County Crash

(Jefferson County) Two males and one female were injured in a two-car crash Thursday evening in Jefferson County. The Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway A, west of Veterans Boulevard when 68-year-old Ricky Reed crossed over the center line in his 2008 Toyota Camry and collided head-on with Festus resident Melody Rawe and her 2015 Chevy Equinox. Both Reed and passenger Darrell Dalton, another Festus resident, received moderate injuries in the crash, while Rawe sustained serious injuries. Rawe and Darrell were transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis and Reed was transported to Mercy Hospital South. All three wore seatbelts in the collision.
