(ARNOLD) It’s a good ole Suburban West Conference rivalry Friday night as the 6-3 Seckman Jaguars are in Arnold to take on the 8-1 Fox Warriors in the Class 5 District 1 semis on KJFF.

It’ll be the 2nd meeting of the season for these two, with the Warriors blanking the Jags 49-0 back on October 12th. Seckman head coach Doug Baker thinks that because of the similarities in how their offenses work, his guys have a chance to make a better game of it this time around.

Fox head coach Brent Tinker doesn’t expect Seckman to mail it in just because they lost by 49 last time.

If you add on the 55-15 Seckman loss to Eureka, that’s a (-89) point differential. With coach Baker fully aware that people are familiar with the program’s struggles the last few years, some might be nervous that those two losses will be a hindrance to this year’s team. Coach Baker thinks the opposite though. He believes his guys can handle anything thrown their way.

Coach Tinker is preparing his guys for whatever the Jags may throw their way.

Seckman and Fox are playing for a spot in the Class 5 District 1 championship game next week and will kick off Friday night at 7 at Warriors Stadium. Catch the game on AM 1400 KJFF or here beginning with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show on Regional Radio at 6.
