Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza in limbo

(Festus, Crystal City) Several area community events have been either postponed or canceled this spring due to the restrictions with large gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic. Everything from easter egg hunts, concerts, home shows, and more were wiped out completely. Events that are scheduled for late June are certainly at risk of being shut down. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says the annual Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza is questionable.

The Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza is scheduled for June 26th and 27th. Festus has already rescheduled the Dirty Dozen Mud Run for a possible return at Twin City Days in September, Swinging Under the Stars scheduled for late May was canceled as was the Mayor’s Summer Car Cruise in early June.

Country Days in Farmington scheduled for early June was canceled and the Hillsboro Rodeo scheduled for that same weekend will be rescheduled in the fall.
