Two Bonne Terre Residents Struck by Car

(Bonne Terre) Two pedestrians from Bonne Terre were injured after being struck by a car Monday night in St. Francois County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident took place on ‘K’ Highway at Carzon Road in Bonne Terre when two pedestrians, 25-year-old William Gillette and a 12-year-old girl ran into the roadway into the direct path of a Lincoln Town Car driven by 27-year-old Bud Darity.

Darity attempted to avoid the two by applying his brakes and steering to the left but the car began to skid and the cars’ front bumper ended up striking both pedestrians.

Both were thrown off the right side of ‘K’ Highway.

They were both moderately injured and were taken to Parkland Medical Center in Bonne Terre.
