(Ellington) Two men were injured in a two vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Reynolds County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 21, seven miles north of Ellington when a Subaru Outback driven by 45-year-old Brandon Scherrfins of Desloge slowed to stop for a vehicle that stopped suddenly in the highway.

That’s when a Harley Davidson ridden by 51-year-old Patrick McMurray of Ellington struck the rear of the Subaru.

The Harley then crossed the centerline and overturned, throwing McMurray from the bike.

McMurray had moderate injuries and was taken by a private vehicle to a hospital.

Scherffins received minor injuries and sought his own medical treatment.
