Two men arrested & charged in two separate domestic violence cases in Festus

(Festus) A Park Hills man is behind bars after he allegedly hit another man with a motor vehicle during an altercation at a residence off of Andy Habsieger Drive in Festus. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says the incident happened on April 11th.

40-year-old Derek Ryan Ivy of Park Hills has been charged with 1st Degree Domestic Assault, 1st Degree Assault, and 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.

In a separate incident, on April 16th a 30-year-old Festus woman went to the Festus police station to report being assaulted by her 34-year-old boyfriend.

Michael Lee Jackson of Festus has been formally charged with 1st Degree Assault. He is also being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.

Chief Lewis says domestic disturbances can be the most dangerous of situations, especially for law enforcement officers.
