Two People Injured After A Traffic Accident At Route “A” And Sandy Valley

Two people were injured in a traffic accident that involved two pick-up trucks on Monday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Kenneth Bailey of Hillsboro was driving south on Sandy Valley driving a Chevy 1500 pick-up, and experienced mechanical brake failure and traveled through the intersection at Route A and was struck by a Dodge Ram driven by 27-year-old Chase Lindsey of Bloomsdale. Bailey, and a passenger in his truck, 52-year-old Joseph Stokes of DeSoto, were both injured in the accident. Both were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Bailey with minor injuries, and Stokes with serious injuries. Both were not wearing seatbelts. The accident took place at 7 p.m. Monday.
