Two people injured after striking a deer on HWY 30

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County Friday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Harley Davidson Roadking driven by 49-year-old Steven Doughty of Cedar Hill was driving on Highway 30 at Strode Manor Road when he hit a deer. Both Doughty and his passenger 60-year-old Teresa Ward of Brynsville were ejected from the motorcycle. Steven received moderate injuries and was treated on scene while Ward sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. The accident happened shortly before 3:30 Friday morning.
