Two St. Francois County Women Injured in Crash

(Bonne Terre) Two St. Francois County women were injured in a car accident Monday evening on Highway 67. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 25-year-old Desiree Smith was turning left on Berry road. She was hit on the right side by the 2009 Buick Enclave of 38-year-old Rebecca Furry, who slammed on her brakes and skidded into Smith’s car. Smith was taken to Parkland hospital for treatment of her moderate injuries. Her car was totaled. Furry suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Hospital for treatment. Her car faced extensive damage.
