Two Teenagers from Jefferson County Injured in Crash

(Antonia) Two teenagers were injured this morning in a one car crash in Jefferson County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Old Lemay Ferry Road near Frisco Hill Road when a 17-year-old male from Imperial attempted to pass a vehicle in his Chevy Cavalier in a no passing zone.

The Cavalier drove into the path of another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The 17-year-old over-corrected to avoid a collision and then he ran off the road and struck a tree.

The Imperial teenager received moderate injuries and his passenger, a 16-year-old male from Barnhart received minor injuries.

Both were taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis for treatment.
