United Way Of St. Francois County Presents Checks

(St. Francois County) The United Way of St. Francois County handed out nearly 130 thousand dollars to 28 different not for profit agencies during a special ceremony held Tuesday at the Farmington Public Library. One of the groups receiving funding was the Farmington Senior Center. Director Ursula Warren says the funding is greatly appreciated.


The Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center in Park Hills also received a grant. Director Becky Laubinger says the United Way is a great organization.

The East Missouri Action Agency also received funding. Rob Baker says they love working with the United Way.

The St. Francois County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity also received funding. Director Linda Dickerson says they money is especially important this year.

A total of $129,859 dollars was presented Tuesday at the library. All the money raised by the United Way of St. Francois County stays in St. Francois County to local not for profit agencies.
